Jeanette Buerling – Managing Director

Jeanette Buerling is a film producer and the CEO of Magnet Media Group (MMG), a Beverly Hills based film production and finance company, with offices in Europe.  To date, Jeanette Buerling has been involved in over 45 film and television projects with a total production volume of over $250 million. Born and raised in Cologne, Germany Jeanette Buerling has been in the entertainment industry over 20 years and stretching across two continents.  Since 1989 she has been working in production  for various European Network stations including RTL Television, ARD, WDR, BR, DSF and PRO SIEBEN/SAT 1.  She produced news, documentaries, game shows, soaps and prime time drama series.  In 1999 she immigrated to the United States with her then 11-year-old daughter Verenice. She started her own film production company in Los Angeles and produced the Fox / Constantin Film comedy project Timeshare starring Nastassja Kinski, Timothy Dalton and Kevin Zegers. In 2004,  her focus went into film financing. She ran a film fund for Far East National Bank’s  in Los Angeles. The fund invested in the production and acquisition of 41 television and theatrical motion picture titles for  for HBO, Showtime, ABC, USA Network, Disney, Lionsgate, and others.

In 2009 she launched MMG and has been producing and financing feature films  with academy award winning talent in front and behind the camera. Her films include the Paramount Vantage thriller 13, starring Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Sam Riley, Ray Winston, Michael Shannon and 50 Cent;  the Sony Pictures thriller The Experiment, directed by Paul Scheuring (writer, producer of Prison Break), starring award-winning actors Adrien Brody and Forrest Whitaker, as well as Twilight‘s Cam Gigandet.  And, the Lionsgate release  Dark Tide, starring academy award-winning actress Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez. The film is directed by Blue Crush and Into the Blue director John Stockwell.

Jeanette Buerling holds an MBA from the University FH Cologne and a business bachelor degree from IHK Aachen.  She is a published journalist, and  studied screenplay writing at USC, Los Angeles.  in 1995 she had launched and managed  a non-profit writers training program in Hollywood for 150 German screenplay writers , who she represented in her writers agency All-in-One, located in Munich, which was sold in 1997. Buerling is a member of the Producers Counsel for The Producers Guild of America, an Executive Member of Women in Film and a member of the Cannes Film Festival Producer’s Network. She is furthermore the Co-Chair of Film Finance Forum Zurich in cooperation with the Zurich Film Festival, WB and Variety.

Jeanette Buerling is a trained dancer, aerobics teacher and award winning gymnast. She attended the 500 hr YogaWorks teacher training program and has been practicing yoga  for 8 years.  She is teaching various techniques of yoga on a non-profit basis, including especially challenged students  who are unable to attend classes.  She is actively involved in various charity organizations including amFAR,  The Cancer Foundation, The Urban Zen Foundation, and others.

Today, as a film producer  her attention is geared towards  the creating of inspirational content, the supporting charity causes and certain other philanthropic activities,  all of which have one goal: Inspire awareness.
